This Patio was created as part of a new build for a beautiful family home being constructed in Cabarlah, Queensland.  This project  was in conjunction with the Tim Smith Constructions and their clients, who requested a different finish for their patio from early in the build.

The concrete in this space was a new pour, this slab was required to sit for four weeks allowing it to cure and harden before starting any grinding processes.

With a level slab to begin, the grinding process removed the top layer of concrete and ensured the surface was completely flat.  The clients in this case were wanting  to see the exposed aggregate, so the top layer of the concrete was removed to show a balance of  exposed aggregate across the entire patio.  This level of stone exposure is known as Full Exposure.

The exposed concrete floor was then grouted to fill in any pin holes and fine lines that existed in the concrete, to produce a smooth level surface. .  The patio was then finished with two coats of Anti-Slip Matte Acrylic Sealer it stain and slip resistant.

The end product is a beautiful outdoor space,  that is stain and slip resistant,  hard wearing and low maintenance for them to enjoy.
